Masts need to come down for winter now. The sailing season is over for another year and it is time for you to organise taking your mast down for the winter and securing you boat against any storms that might be coming our way. It is required as part of most insurance policies that your boat is securely tied down and the mast removed over the winter if the boat is not being used. On that note a few members were down in the boat park this morning packing up their boats and Dave Evans found that someone has taken his con bar and tiller extension (from D18 "Game On"). If you borrowed it and have forgotten to put it back or know who did, please let him know as soon as possible as he is upset about losing it. He says he doesn't mind it being borrowed but he would like it back as it is a costly item to replace. It is easy to forget to return bits that you borrow but upsetting for the owner who will think that it has potentially been stolen. |
